GIFTED INSTITUTE GIFTEDNESS CONFERENCE 2026

Update your knowledge, expand your didactic toolbox and get new inspiration for creating pedagogical frameworks that can accommodate, embrace and support the development of gifted students!

Host: Professor Anja Cetti Andersen from the University of Copenhagen has prepared insightful presentations, and will be accompanied by an inspirational panel of guests.

As of 2025, teachers in Danish public schools are required to screen for giftedness in potentially-gifted first-grade students. However, without sufficient knowledge, didactic tools and affordable continuing education for practitioners and educators, thousands of children (estimated at 14,000 students) are still at risk of being overlooked or misinterpreted.

This conference will consist of theoretical presentations, new approaches from Danish and international experts, as well as practical and concrete perspectives and ideas from teachers, school leaders, parents and students relating to:

• Effective cooperation between school and home
• Teaching/didactic approaches to working with gifted students
• Identification of gifted students

Target group: The conference is aimed at teachers, pedagogues, school counselors, school leaders, teacher educators, psychologists, educational consultants and others who many encounter and work with gifted children and young people.

PRACTICAL INFORMATION

The conference is held online — so EVERYONE can join.

A ticket will give you access to the conference’s exciting content, either on May 15, 2026 from 9 am to 1 pm, or at another time that better fits your schedule. 

Once a ticket is purchased, the conference can be viewed (once) until June 15, 2026.

Q&A-EVENT

Emulate the experience of a traditional conference as well as the opportunity to talk to Gifted Institute experts AND other attendees about conference materials at a live, virtual Q&A event facilitated by the Gifted Institute's expert panel.

• The Q&A event will take place in Danish with optional, simultaneous translations into other languages.
• The Q&A event will be held on May 22nd from 2-4 pm.
• Admission to the Q&A event is separate from but purchased alongside the conference ticket.
